I was excited to seize this opportunity when the former principal at Tumwater Middle School, Ms. McNamara, recommended Mr. Myers, the current Black Hills High School principal, by stating to him, “I’m not sure if Dave Myers is going to be lucky enough,” during an award ceremony at the Tumwater School District board meeting, inspiring him to set up a meeting to launch the creative mural project you see here.
